Seeking out an environment favourable to the exposure to the most advanced plant genetics and biotechnology, the CTC has recently established a new laboratory in Saint Louis, Missouri, the CTC Genomics.
The structure of the new laboratory and the interaction with other research institutions also set up around the Danforth Plant Science Center will enhance the advances in disruptive technologies associated with genetics of sugarcane, such as genome editing and for the development of synthetic seed.
